For the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, adidas launched the “Impossible Is Nothing” campaign, featuring the notable TV commercial Family Reunion. This film brought together football stars Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema, Achraf Hakimi, Son Heung-Min, Jude Bellingham, Pedri, Serge Gnabry, and rapper Stormzy, highlighting the unity and joy of football.
Technical challenges
Since we could not film all the players in the same place, we had to film them separately on chroma and Carbon VFX comped them in post. They all sat on a same size green bench. We used Q-take overlay to make sure that no overlapping occurs.
Cameras were put on the same distance, and same lenses were used to film the separate players.
Since we had no Motion Control, cameras were locked.
